Sharon Shaw, college English teacher and writer,
was born in Columbus, Ohio and has claimed North Carolina as home for nearly fifty years. Early on she taught in colleges and universities in Pakistan, Canada, Greece and central North Carolina before settling in for a twenty-eight year stint of teaching, public relations, and marketing at Sandhills Community College.
Along the way, she has been active in animal rights, had a book of poetry published by John Blair Publishers, collected three cats and a dog, and given up on ever staying current on Apple technology.
Her writing ranges from academic pieces of interest only to other teachers of literature to tips on making the most of a Mac to a battery of articles on Internet sites.
Oh, yes, there was a mainly political blog that died a quiet death from drowning in the blogosphere.
She continues to write and edit.
